MUTHYALA MADUVU
Getting There: It is near a town called Anekal on the outskirts of Bangalore. It may be easier and faster to reach this town via Hosur Road, although there is another route via Bannerghatta National Park. Directions via Hosur Road: While going towards Hosur from Bangalore, watch out for Narayana Health City (on your left) and you have take a left from under that next flyover. You'll see an obscure "Anekal" sign board before you reach the flyover. From here, you'll be on State Highway 87 (Anekal Main Road). Keep going straight until you reach Anekal town. Then you need to take a left towards "Anekal Athibele Road" or State Highway 35. You can ask for Taluk Office or Anekal Bus-stand. Continue on this road. From Bus-stand, after about 2 Kims, you'll have to deviate on to left smaller road from the state highway 35. Directions via Bannerghatta National park Road: While going towards Bannerghatta National Park, go past the park (without taking any deviation), continuing on the National Highway 87 (Anekal-Bannerghatta Road) towards Anekal. Once you reach Anekal town, you'll have to take a left deviation on to a smaller town road to merge into Anekal-Athibele Road (National High Way 35). There is "Venkateshwara Talkies" movie hall at the intersection of this deviation. You may ask for Taluk Office or Anekal Bus-stand. Once you are near Bus-stand follow the same route as described above.
Best time to visit: Better to visit around July–September time, when there are rains and there'll be plenty of water. Ensure that it is not going to rain on your day of visit. The place is not convenient enough if it rains. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed with almost no water and whatever water is that's left is muddy and not good for entering into. However, if you want to some peaceful time away from hustle, bustle of the city and listen to some nature sounds, it's a good place to go anytime - not far off from the city.
