ಆನೇಕಲ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 40 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದ. 2001 ರ ಜನಗಣತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆನೇಕಲ್ 10,391 ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಆನೇಕಲ್ ಪುರಸಭೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 23 ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಳಿದ್ದು 23 ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆನೇಕಲ್ ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯು ಒಟ್ಟು 14.35 ಚದುರ ಕೀಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ಗಳಿರುತ್ತದೆ
Anekal is a taluk of bangalore district it lies in the southern part of the Bangalore metropolitan area around 40 kilometres from Bangalore.Anekal is known for the karaga festivals.Muthyalamaduvu, a picnic spot with a small waterfall is five kilometres away from the town.Anekal is famous for the cereal Ragi which is being grown in the area and is the staple food supporting the agricultural fraternity.Anekal is also called as "Ragiya Kanaja" which means Ragi Depot of Karnataka state.Anekal was also called as "Gajashella Pura", "Gajashella" means elephant rock and "Pura" means town.
ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ : ಆನೇಕಲ್ ಪುರಸಭೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಆಸ್ತಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇದರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1998 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಈವರೆಗೆ ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗಧಿತ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ

Citizens can avail this facility to pay property tax shortly. Birth & Death records are available online from the year 1998. Citizens can make use of this facility to register & obtain Birth & Death Certificate.
